The sports football magazine reporter managed to grab hold of Maoists FC's Captain, Louis Loo during his army book out last weekend and conducted an up-close interview on his views of the current situation in Maoists FC. Like many fans and players, there are much worries and rumors over the team's future. Let's see what Louis gotta say.

Hi, Louis. I believe that the current in-activeness in Maoists FC has casted much doubts on your players as well as fans out there. What do you have to say on this?

It's inevitable to have such reports and rumors of the team going to be disband with such a long absence from the footballing scene. Players themselves are unsure of what's ahead of them and I truly understand why.

First of all, I would like to say that this team is still around and alive. Any reports of disbanding or quitting the team are all just rumors and false. I can assure you guys this.

After playing a smooth season of Assessment period, what happened since?

We had a decent season, playing against so many much established teams which are much more better and organised than us. It was a great experience and the players enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the call to serve the nation came probably at the wrong time. Coincidentally, I was one of the first few to be called up.

We decided not to participate in the upcoming season in EFL due to a large number of players having to serve the nation. Due to that, it was a blow to the team and players' morale as they are hungry and eager to play in the league.

Therefore, while I'm serving the army, the team has only several friendly matches to play and this has cause uncertainty to the team due to lack of participation and football action. I have to admit, players themselves are asking me what's going to happen and what's the future of Maoists FC.

So what's now for Maoists FC?

Currently, we have myself, TY, Chris, Jage, Sathya, Sho and Jerome serving the nation. Marcus and Julius are going in very soon. Because of the huge number of players not around, we can only play friendly matches occasionally on weekends depending on the availability of the players at the moment.

Being Captain, I have to let the team know that we are still around and kicking. We must continue the spirit we had before while we are having this transition period. It's inevitable that the remaining players are worried and I can feel for them. Don't forget, we are still a very young team and we have a bright future ahead of us.

Lastly, what do you have to say to Maoists FC?

Please be patient. Maoists FC will be back in action once I finished my army stuff and by then, all of us will be fitter, fighting hard on the pitch, just like before.

Game Review

The first game in 2 months whereby several of us had to serve the country. Due to the lack of match fitness and practice, the scoreline said it all. Against the strong Happy Feet, we struggled in the first half, conceding 5 goals in the process.

Having said that, a good match of football for Maoists FC after several months of absence on the pitch. A great improvement in the second half which was a pleasant factor for the team and with many more players going to serve National Service soon, there will be more fitter and stronger players coming out after their training.

A transition period for Maoists FC, for which we have to be patient and await for the exciting future coming up.

Hi Maoists,

How are you guys? Sleep well? Eaten well? I'm fine and growing strong for your info. Lol.

Unfortunately, to my dismay, with myself just serving a month in the National Service, it seems to me that Maoists FC is no longer the same as before. For the last 6 months, we played week in week out. We played good football, suffered losses as a team and celebrated victories all together.

But at this very moment, it's disappointing to see that for the last 6 months of football and efforts we have put in are going down the drain. Are we going to just fuck everything up and give all up? Or are we going to build on what we have already built and continue to be a stronger Maoists FC than before?

Being Captain, it's my responsibility to keep the team going. Likewise, being PLAYERS of Maoists FC, you have the responsibility to respond, to cooperate, to train and to play for the team. Every single player has to play their part and role and not giving fuck care attitude. For some of you, you guys have played for Maoists for years. The amount of time you have played, the amount of matches you turned up for are countless. Are you telling me that you are just going to walk off the team?

If anyone of you is unhappy or thinking that playing for Maoists FC is meaningless, please do let me know. But before you do that, do recall why you are in the team at the first place? When you need to play football, Maoists FC was there for you. When you need to satisfy your love for football, Maoists was there for you again. Think about it.

The choice is still yours. I don't wish to have any unwilling or unhappy players in the team.

I would love the team to continue playing like before and even stronger. I hope you can understand serving National Service is not as easy as it seems and you guys gotta cooperate with Syazwan and Marcus who are putting their best efforts maintaining the team. Respect him like how you respect yourself.

Maoists, don't fucking let me down.

Hey guys, please take note of these few things that need to be done IMMEDIATELY.
1) Collection of jersey money
2) Photocopy of ICs

I believe Syazwan has sent all of you an email emphasizing on photocopying of your ICs but apparently none of you has pass them to me yet. I need them immediately. Please pass them to me or Syazwan LATEST by the end of this week.

Regarding the making of our new jersey, I've decided on the initial Werder Bremen design but they come in 2 colors. I need you guys to vote on which color you prefer, and take into consideration which color will suit our logo better. For the prices, just the top itself costs $30 which includes the printing of name number and logo. Full set is $40 (or might be $45, i need to check with the retailer again) which includes top, pants, socks and printing. But there's one small problem, they only have sizes from M onwards. I know there are a couple of you who wears S but as a gauge, Jay did try the size M and it fits him well. Appraoch me if you guys have any enquires. Last but not least, only a couple of you have given me the money for the jersey. Without the money, we are not able to make our jersey, and please bear in mind we don't have much time left before the season begins and the whole jersey making process takes about a week a week or two. Right now, make use of the comment box and vote for which color you prefer and will you be purchasing the full set or just the top.

An unexpected surprising match against the Japans( FC Nippons) at AR-JAS . Our Captain's,Louis last game before he reported for holiday. As the team was off to season break, we came half prepared for the game. Upon reaching and done changing, it started to pour heavily. we started off with a wet pitch and not being able to warm-up before the game

FC Nippons starting the game with composure and high team-spirited. Switching flanks to flanks.Being on a wet day, both teams have difficulties controlling the ball. However FC Nippons pressed on hard on us. Maoists holding on to the attack till 40mins where the striker manage to slip off the defenders and placing the ball into the net.

Not giving up,Maoists counter attack which was superbly well-done.striker Subash dribbling past 4 players at the right flank.however we did not managed to secure a goal as the keeper was well-positioned to the shot. The referee rounded the first half with maoists on high tempo.

Referee blowed for the start of second half. Maoists with attacking mode saw the Midfielder of The Season passing through their left back bringing the ball to the centre passing to Louis whose shot was deflected and went inches past the left post.

As time passed, Maoists was desperately in need for the equaliser.It resulted us in empty backline which cause FC Nippons to have the chance to score.FC Nippons found the opportunity to slot home another 4 goals. The game finishes with scoreline 5-0.

As our assessment period has come an end, we have reflected and looked back at some of our great performances as well as outstanding individuals who played well over the last 6 months. Voted by fellow players in Maoists FC, we have these awards presented to them as a recognition of their hard work and committment to the team. Without further ado, let's take a look at the winners!

Golden Boot Award
Ong Yan Zhi
Inclusive of league and friendly goals, YanZhi has scored a total of 10 goals and has proven to be one of the deadliest players around.

Who else? He has made outstanding saves and the Maoists Number 19 is obvious choice for this award.

Defender of the season
Khairul
Proven to be the heart and soul of defence whereby he commanded everyone from behind. With his presence, Maoists' defence has been solid and hence, contributing to more wins and less goals conceded.

What else can I say? His stats proved it all.

Izzuan
The young and fast striker has shown his capabilities on the pitch by scoring 9 goals, in which some are important goals of the season. He would be raring to go for more next season, so watch out for Izzuan!

Most Memorable Match
4-1 win against Olympique Gaulois
Players did not hesitate in this and voted for the friendly match against Olympique Gaulois whereby we won 4-1 in superb fashion. Goals from YanZhi (2), Louis and Jay causing an upset against the French side which is much more stronger and experienced on the pitch.

Best Signing
Yeong Tah Yuen (TY)
The left winger has chosen to be the best signing of the season with his great left foot, scoring 2 goals and provided beautiful crosses into the box. His recent goal against Team Orange which ended up in the top corner is a goal to remember for all!

Unsung Hero
Jay Lee
The star striker has been voted for being the unsung hero for his efforts and tireless running on the pitch. His enthusiatic attitude has proven to be one of the best which saw him scoring important goals for Maoists FC in the recent matches.

These are the awards for outstanding individuals who has performed really well for the last 6 months, but still, football is a team game and there will always be many unsung heros who fought their lungs out in matches for the team which everyone is aware of. Continue working hard and we shall look forward to the upcoming season in August.

Captain's Comments
The last match of the assessment period, the last game for TY, Chris and Louis before they report to Tekong and much to the Captain's delight, the whole Maoists football team came for the last game along with star appearance Chavalit who came back from Thailand for a short holiday in Singapore.

Finally, we were early for a game of football, there were even time for chit-chatting and playing of cards. (though it was not recommended, it was a good warming up session for the mind) Proceeded on with the warm up while Captain had a massive headache of his first 11 due to the fact that he has 23 players on that day. More than enough for 2 teams on the pitch.

Playing on the astro pitch which was a brilliant pitch to kick your football around, we started pretty decently against Team Orange who beaten us 4-1 earlier the season. Pressing on every ball on the pitch, closing down on players and you could see that Maoists was fighting real hard for the win.

Due to some defensive errors, Team Orange striker Khairul capitalised with a brilliant finish from the left in the 6 minute. Nevertheless, we did not give up and continued attacking at TO's defence. Fresh legs came on in and Maoists finally got it rewards. With topscorer YanZhi challenging for the ball in the area, Captain Louis capitalised on the loose ball and finished into the bottom corner. *whinks* An important goal for him personally and more importantly for the team as it was the equalising goal.

Maoists was fortunate as TO failed to take it chances early in the game which gave the team some hope that there were still plenty to play for. Despite having "party mood" off the pitch for both teams, players on the pitch ain't giving any chances as they were all tackling and fighting hard for the ball which saw several players being carried off the pitch.

Second half sees us more on the ball, attacking with more speed and tireless running almost everywhere. Probably with almost 12 players on the bench raring to go, our fitness were boosted by that fact. Star striker Izzuan was dribbling through the middle which a tackle flew in causing him to fall on his ankle. The subsequent loose ball went onto TY who was free on the left wing, who took his time and composed with a top-left hand corner finish. What a shot, TY! It seems that 2 of the soon-to-be army boys had scored!

Team Orange came fighting back after attacks and attacks on our defence. A long throw from the left was headed in by TO's tall defender despite Syazwan getting a touch on it. The game ended in a 2-2 draw which could be seen as an exciting and entertaining game for the spectators that day.

A friendly yet competitive encounter with Team Orange which we will meet again in the upcoming qualifying division.

Captain appreciates every player's presence and every player is important to the team. Thank you for respecting his decisions on and off the pitch. Special mention to Chavalit as well, who played well and he will always be a Maoists player whenever he is back in Singapore.

Interview with Maoists Captain Number 18! Louis Loo!

Finally, we have come to our last interview, who else but our very own Captain, Louis Loo Zhe Zheng, the founder of this team. Being a captain isn't easy, one who shoulders big responsibilities and making critical decisions on and off the pitch. But he has done a tremendous job in managing the establishment of the team over the years. We have no one but him to thank for the huge progress of the team.

Wearing the jersey number 18, leading Maoists to the right direction. He can be easily spotted in the field with his Captain armband, playing in the middle of the park, spreading passes around as well as scoring a fair share of goals. Without further ado, let's see what he has to say.

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, Louis. Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

Hi there, I’m Louis and 20 this year. I love football, support Liverpool FC with all my heart and play my football with Maoists FC. You can say that football is my passion and it's like I'm born for it. I’m the captain of Maoists and have been leading the team since it was established in 2002. (I took a break once in a while, when I go for holidays) Personally, I love listening to music, playing Mahjong as well as travelling around the world. I’ve yet to travel to many places which I would love to go.

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Oh my, this would have to go back to 2002. When I was in secondary 2, somehow or rather, we used to skip classes to play football under blocks and in small fields. WE include the 7 of us. Myself, Marcus Tan, Jerome Wee, Kelvin Richmond, Lee Jiun Hsien, Julius Lim and lastly, GuoQiang. We enjoyed kicking the ball around, running away from Police while Lee Jiun Hsien suggested forming a football team, creating jerseys and play in the 11 aside field. To be very honest, at that time, I thought it was a joke as he is the joker till today.

About Maoists the name itself, 7 of us had a stupid nickname with Mao something or something Mao, which evolved with a name MAOISTS which at that time, represented us. It then became our football team name. I myself do not really know why it happened, but it just happened. FYI, we were quite popular back then. Haha!

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

Being Captain of the team, I have to make sure Maoists keep improving and progressing up till today. Football is a sport whereby there will never be perfection as we can always improve; always play better as a team and individually.

From the 7 of us, all of us scouted players around, seeking for more players to form an 11-man team. Players like YanZhi, Khairul, ChinHong and Jonathan came and became part of us subsequently. Of course, throughout the years, players come in and go. But still, fortunately for Maoists, the core players are still around up till today.

We were once playing in secondary school level, but now, we are playing against bigger and more experienced teams in Singapore. Teams from almost everywhere, we improved as a unit, gained more exposure and grown to be stronger each time we are out there on the pitch.

Development has been great; with better skilled players joining the team, we've learnt to fight and never to give up on the pitch. We have progressed tremendously over the last 1 year and I’m very proud of Maoists FC. I'm looking forward to see how the team is going to develop and play better football in the upcoming years. I'm excited, in fact.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

In primary school, I used to be a striker and a right-winger. But as I grow and developed, somehow, I’m playing in the centre of the park where you need to run your ass out. New positions? Maybe I can try being a goalkeeper for some recreational or entertainment purposes, but as for now, I would just love to stick to my position and improve as much as I can, I do think I have much rooms of improvement.

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

For this, I gotta think a bit. Hmmmm, being Captain of Maoists FC and playing with this bunch of talented footballers is one of the proudest things ever happen to me in my life.

Personally, whenever Maoists FC wins a game, be it a friendly or a league game, I would be very proud as the team worked hard for the win. The first game against Schwarz Star FC this season whereby we won 2-1 would be a match to remember personally as we won the game 2-1 and I scored the winning goal. That is one of my proudest moments as a Maoists FC player.

Lowest times, losing a game, the feeling just sucks. And probably whereby I was on the verge of quitting the team few years back. Nevertheless, it's already history and I do hope that there will be more proud moments but not lowest in future.

Lastly, what are your ambitions for Maoists FC?

To be one of the best amateur football teams in Singapore and of course, winning titles and cups. Playing the best football on the pitch as long as our legs can take us!

The last 6 months of assessment period has been a great experience and exposure for the team. I strongly believe we can build on this and let's bring Maoists to greater heights!

Dear Maoist Football Club

One of EFL's objectives is to create a strong foundation for Singapore's football through youth development by heavily subsidising youths to play against and along side the physically bigger, tougher and more experienced foreign teams. This will benefit our youths as they will be stronger, both physically and mentally.

I have observed Maoist FC with great interest. I remember your first three losses to Fighting Cocks FC (Vietnam), FC Nippon (Japan) and Hibernians FC (Ireland). You held your heads up, not criticising but motivated each other, and went on to win your fourth match against the more organised Schwarz Star FC (local) at Farrer Park. Your recent 4-1 win against a Cosmo League team is even more satisfying. Kudos to team manager, Louis, for all his hard work and perseverance.

Your attitude on and off the pitch, your confidence for each other, your loyalty and your camaraderie is astounding. Your progress has given Singapore's football hope of reaching the World Cup Finals.

You are the pioneers and the prize of EFL youth development program.

Interview with Maoists Number 10! Jay!

Maoists Number 10, who else? Our very own Jay Lee Jiun Hsien! One of the founders of the team who has been playing football with Maoists over the years as well as scoring for the team. That's the role of the striker anyway, Haha! One of the jokers of the team, never fail cheering the team up even after we just lost a game. Putting his all into the team and he answered every question of this exclusive interview wholeheartedly. Let's see what Jay gotta say!

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, Jay. Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

How’s life housefly? My name is Jiun Hsien, you can call me Jay too. I’m 20 this year, and currently pursuing my diploma in Singapore Polytechnic. I’m definitely one of the longest members that have served Maoists, and I’m holding the striker position in the team. I dare not say im the most committed player in the team but one thing I do know is that, I LOVE MAOISTS!

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Maoists entered my life when I’m 13, a secondary one student, busy adapting to secondary school’s life. Just when I met this following several people: Louis Loo, the one that taught the rest and me how to play football and mahjong. Marcus Tan, my primary schoolmate and he have chosen his path to be with me all the way till now. Jerome Wee, needless to say, my how’s life housefly brother and emo brother. Kelvin Richmond, that gay bulldozer that always pinch people’s nipple without any notice. Julius Lim, rich white chocolate boy, my porn master. Lastly, GQ, with these people we decided to form a soccer team, which we have created quite an impact and is recognized as one of the strongest teams in school, and to my surprise, Maoists have expanded and still standing strong up till date. Being part of Maoists, there is nothing more you could ever wished for, the bonding and team spirit in this team…INCREDIBLE! IMPRESSIVE! MARVELLOUS! BRILLIANT! Good up mates!

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

Maoists have been progressing very well all these years, and in these recent years, we have not only scouted a number of quality young fresh legs, we also shifted from a ordinary recreational football team to a competitive league football team. Although we have not win any of the league titles yet, but what I could see in the long run, Maoists would go far as the fire in them is still burning strong, after all we are still bunch of young and energetic athletes, we have yet to unleash our true potential!

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

In Maoists, I’ve tried playing Right Midfielder/Winger but realized my forte would still be sticking to my original position, Striker. Maybe one day, in the near future when I can no longer run as fast and can no longer score goals for Maoists, and would be consider as a burden for the team I would like to try playing the role Benchwarmer. I was just joking. In the near future, I would still hope to contribute to the team by playing as striker and keep scoring goals!

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

My proudest moment as a Maoists player would be WINNING THE GAME! SCORING GOALS AND CELEBRATING WITH MY TEAMMATES! That simple! But I would like to highlight the time when I scored hat trick against one of our strongest rival, Field Machine, that’s probably one of the events that boost up my morale and continue serving Maoists as I think Maoists could achieve more than what it can take!
Lowest time would simply be losing the match and hand in our hard earned pocket money to the ref! HAHA!

The Mr Right Guy of Maoists who plays the right flank of midfield, running up and down, supporting the attacks and the defence. The man who deliver crosses into the box, providing assists to his teammates. Has been playing for Maoists FC since he was secondary 2, he can be considered of one of the longest serving and experienced players in the team. Let's see what Jonathan got to say!

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, jOnathan. Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Guess that happen when I’m in Sec 2, was being introduced by YanZhi to the team. And I still remember Louis came to ask which positions n foot do we play and ChinHong has the best answer. Haha.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

From the "Fulham" jersey to the current jersey, the team have improved a lot. Last time, we only played with teams which are almost the same age as us but now we are playing with teams that are older and even "angmohs". And I believe the League table games really need to have good teamwork, which we are having it now and improving.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

I’m always being used on the RM and there’s time when I played in the RB N LM. Positions I would to play maybe CM, LB N LM I think. :D

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

Lowest moment will be the training part, the attendance of the team was really low and is like even u are there, there aren’t partners to help u in the training. I think is different now surely. :)

Proudest moment will be we winning the Adss cup cause we nearly lose out in the group table but with our never say die attitude we make it through to the final. And not forgetting the game that we officially won FM in 90min with almost a 8 defenders 1 midfielder and 1 forward, we still manage to score a goal. Nice one Maoists.

Captain's Comments
Pre-match preparations are not the best as Maoists was late reaching the field. Playing at the other side of Singapore, the players had to meet early as travelling time would be longer than usual. Despite that, some of the players were late (including the Captain, I sincerely sorry for being late.) and hence, everything was delayed. Reaching the field at around 2.55pm while the kick off time was at 3pm, we had to rush in changing to our attire, and in the end, there was no time to warm up.

Having said that, we managed to play our usual football in the first half, switching plays and counter-attack when there was chance. We got our rewards after a through ball from Louis was well met by Jay who is on a hot scoring form, scored after a rebound from QV's goalkeeper's save.

Getting a early goal was an advantage while QVFC continued to press on while Maoists was defending and keep its shape intact. QVFC then got a penalty which was well-saved by goalkeeper Syazwan who had an awesome game in goal. Keeping on a goal lead, we had a great chance to double it when YanZhi got onto a counter-attack where his shot ballooned over the bar.

Unfortunately, that miss proved to be costly.

Second half commences while QVFC pressured on with its attacks after attacks, looking for the equalizing goal. A corner from the left came, while the ball hit ZhenWei's chest and it went into his own net. Unfortunate incident and a pure accident I should say.

A penalty was then awarded to QVFC and Syazwan almost made a second save which ended up into the goal. 2-1 down and Maoists' morale was badly affected. There were several temperamental incidents which earned Chris and Jay yellow cards. Somehow or rather, the 3rd and 4th goal came soon later which kills off any hopes of any revival for Maoists. Credits to QVFC, they managed to overturn the deficit. Sadly for Maoists, we have only ourselves to blame.

Maoists,
Second half performance was one to forget and never to be repeated while the first was something we should maintain and improve on. We have to stay cool in all circumstances and respect every referee's decisions. Do the talking with your feet on the pitch and results is what it matters at the end of the day. Win as a team, lose as a team and play like a team.

We got to keep working hard, be positive and play our best in the remaining matches.

This time around, our tall and big defender Sho Ong shared his personal views on Maoists FC, his unfortunate knee injury as well as his insights of his teammates. Despite joining the team only recently, Sho has become part of the Maoists family and his ability to play on the right has definitely benefited Maoists over the matches. First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, Sho. Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

Hi I’m Sho and I’m a relatively new player of Maoist. However due to my stupid knee injury, I don’t know when I can start playing again.

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Louis was the person who invited me to play for Maoist as right back after several Thursday kickabout sessions. I hesitated at first as it’s been a long time since I play a proper football match. After trying out a few matches, I knew that I made a right decision to join Maoist.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

Maoist is no longer the same Maoist 6 months ago. We made tremendous progress in terms of individual players, teamwork and most importantly our new found fighting spirit.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

I used to play at CB, RB, LB, CM, RM and ST but now I enjoy marauding down the right flank for Maoist. I will play anywhere in exchange for a healthy knee.

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

I feel that our first game in Assessment EFL was our proudest moment. The fighting spirit was unbelievable and I’m glad I played my part in that match. I don’t think there was a low time as a Maoist player because some clowns in the team will make us forget about everything after every match. (I do agree on that)

Captain's Comments
First of all, WELL DONE Maoists! What a fantastic performance today! A 4-1 win against French side Olympique Gaulois which I thought is a very good side to play against.

Right from the start, Olympique Gaulois has the lion share of possession, spreading the ball around. Maoists had to defend real deep and closed down every single ball nearing our area. With Khairul commanding the team from behind, our strongback and midfield was able to hold on to attacks after attacks.

Maoists had a little luck while Olympique Gaulois hit the woodwork twice in the first half. Playing on a counter-attack, we kept our shape and we got a goal through YanZhi, May's Player of the Month. 1-0 up. We got a second goal just before half time through a low drive shot by Louis (whinks*) and fortunately, we held a 2-0 lead till half time.

As expected, Olympique Gaulois played a higher tempo, looking to score a goal to reduce the deficit. Credits to Maoists defence, we stayed strong as a unit, disciplined in our positionings, plus a few blockshots and saves, we protected our 2 goals lead.

On-form striker YanZhi's pace was terrifying while he scored his 2nd of the game, rounding the keeper into the open net. The fourth came soon after while a through ball by Louis (whinks*) was met by Jay, who didn't make any mistakes with his finish. 4 goals to good.

Olympique Gaulois got a goal back while they threatened in the dying minutes with attacks after attacks. Still, Maoists defence was like a Great Wall of China, was sturdy and hard.

A great and brilliant team performance. Every single player played really well, ran their socks off, defended superbly against the strong attacks from Olympique Gaulois. Let's continue the good form, keep working hard and play the best we can every match.

One of the youngest or I should say youngest player in Maoists FC. Despite the young age, one of the most reliable and fastest player in the team as well. Playing at left-back, he has increased competition in that position and gradually improving every match he played. He shares his vision and thoughts on Maoists FC and without further ado, let's take a look at what this young fellow gotta say!

Hello, my name is Nizam and I’m the youngest player at Maoists. I’m 14 going 15 this year and still enjoying secondary school life at Admiralty Secondary School. Soccer have always been the best sport among the rest and I look forward for every match. I play left back since I was in secondary one and still at the position for Maoists. I am trying my best to improve in it!

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Maoists came into my life when the Maoists captain, Louis, invited me to play at Woodlands Secondary school against Tampinese Youngster which we won 3-2. He then introduced me to Maoists. When I first join Maoists, it was quite awkward since I don’t really know the players well. I started to gain experience while playing with bigger and older guys than me. I got used to it and am trying to develop it. That never stop me, I tried my best and put in the best effort for Maoists! I think Maoists is an awesome team with different kinds and unique players.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

I only joined the team this year and I believe that the league games have helped us improve physically and mentally since we played with experienced teams such as Team Orange etc.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

I played leftback and wingback before. I am currently playing leftback and I’m enjoying it a lot. I would love to try out striker in the future. :D

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

I don’t have a proudest moment as a Maoists player yet, but if I have, it would be scoring a goal for Maoists! The lowest times would be when I didn’t perform during a match and our opponent scored when they get through me! That is when we lost the match. Rahhhh!

Hi, how’s life? Sure, fine. Jerome Wee Wei Ming is the name, Left-Back is the position, and defending is my job. I am one of longest members of Maoists FC, though I am off and on from time to time. There is nothing much to say about me, other than I love Maoists and they love me. ROFLMAO.

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Maoists came about during my early secondary school days, when I made a group of brothers, sharing weal and woes. It was called Maoists because Mao-Ren (hairy man) was Marcus’ CS nickname. Thinking that it was cool, we exploited the nickname, giving ourselves nicknames with the word Mao in it. Originally, Maoists was just a name addressing the gang of seven brothers, who I would like to call us the ‘7 wonders pillar of founders’ ROFLMAO pretty much. Maoists FC was established when we realized that we had a thing or two for soccer and needed more players to make a soccer team. My secondary school life would not be complete without Maoists.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

Throughout the years, loss and gains on both player-wise and matches-wise were inevitable. We became from a 7-man to a 20-man and it is Maoists’ biggest achievement. However, the team lacks organization and experience for most players. With more league matches and tournaments, the team will improve surely as we are still a young and developing FC. Time will tell.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

I have played LM and ST before. However, offensive is not my game therefore I am now playing LB. I would love to play positions that the team captain thinks I should play.

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

Proudest moment = Defend well
Lowest times = Failed in Defending

Captain's Comments
After a disappointing lost last week against the Hibs, Maoists returned strongly this week with an emphatic 4-0 win over QV B Team at AR JAS field. Despite having only 4 subs on the bench and limited options, the team handled it well under extremely hot conditions on the field.

Despite being a friendly match, Captain fielded a strong 11 with a 4-1-3-2 formation with Sathya protecting the back 4 while Khairul partnered ZhenWei back in defence. After missing out for 2 weeks, ZhenWei was finally back in the team line-up.

Positive start in the game saw us dominating the early minutes. YanZhi, Jay and Subash terrorised the defence with their runs, strength and pace upfront. Fortunately, attacks got its rewards and we got a goal up after YanZhi's tap in (tyco) from a corner.

Just before half time, YanZhi capitalised on a mistake from QV's defenders and made it 2-0. Due to the hot sorching sun, you could see that players were holding on to half-time to get a break.

Early second half saw QV B team had lots of possession and threatened our goal in several occassions. Much to our relief, the early attacks was gradually reduced as the game commenced. We got hold back onto the game and were passing confidently as a team.

The third goal was a brilliant move by Maoists. YanZhi's run into the box was then rebounded to Sathya who was outside the penalty box. He passed to Louis who found YanZhi back in the penalty box. The 2 goals scorer didn't disappoint with a beautiful cross to Jay at the far post, scoring a bullet header pass the goalkeeper. Oh boy! Finally~!

The game was sealed as you could see that it was a blow to QV B Team conceding the third goal. Maoists scored another with a moment of brilliance from on form striker, Subash. His trickery right outside the box went past 2 defenders before chipping the goalkeeper with his intended cross. Brilliant!

It was a good win, keeping a clean sheet and scoring 2 goals in each half. Even though it's a friendly, we treated the match seriously and put a decent performance on the pitch. Keep it up Maoists! Hopefully, this would a stepping stone for our remaining matches in the league.

One of the youngest players in the team and at the same time, proving himself to be one of the hottest prospects of defenders for Maoists FC. Playing week in week out, he has shown to the team that despite his young age, he can tackle whoever is opposing him. A no-nonsense defender and one of the funniest players around with his loud voice shouting across the field. Let us see what he gotta say to us..

My name is Indra, I play centerback position for Maoist. I am one of the few youngsters in the team. I always looking forward to improve myself, and yes I am ambitious!

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

I was being scouted by our goalkeeper; Syazwan during a match. He then introduced me to Maoist. As a Maoist player, I think this team is great. I have gained experience definitely, through every games, I’ll just have to improve myself even more! When I first join Maoist, I couldn’t play well as the style of play is very different.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

I think most of us improved a lot, the league games has helped us gained lots of experience.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

I used to play as a right back but now I’m playing as a centerback alongside ZhenWei. I would love to try out as a striker definitely!

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

I have yet to score a goal for Maoist, but if I do; that will be my proudest moment! So far I don’t have any lowest moments. (Very optimistic!)

Captain's Comments
Once again, we just experienced a defeat in such style in which we don't know how we lost. A close margin lost again to the Hibs and in that 'cursed' field in CCK Secondary, we have never won there before. Sadly, last Saturday, we did not get the 3 points we needed.

Syazwan was in charge of this game and he started with a 4-3-1-2 formation. With a new combination of Khairul and Indra in the centre of defence, it proved to be quite a partnership at the back. But somehow, we lost a goal right across the defence while the rest were still complaining about offside.

In terms of size and strength, Hibs had the upperhand but having said that, Maoists played a decent game with some short accurate passes and with our speed, we gave them a difficult time as well. Unfortunately, in the game of football, scoring is what it matters and we failed to do that in an hour.

We were 2 goals down after our goalkeeper Syafiq made a blunder. It's part of football, I guess. Despite that, the team fought on and we finally got a goal which we deserved. Oh yes, this goal was the talking point on our tagboard as well.

Jonathan's shot just outside the area rebounded off the goalkeeper and the fast and alert Jage shot in the rebound. His first goal for Maoists! Finally~! Of course, the talking point was about this World Cup celebration of this goal but he deserved to celebrate! His goal gave the team hope as we felt that we could take something from the game.

Just when we were fighting for our equalizer, we conceded a penalty and the Hibs got their 2 goal cushion back. Our top scorer, Izzuan who seems couldn't stop scoring, added another with a chip over the goalkeeper at the end. His 9th goal of the season.

Sadly, it's too little too late. Still, it was a good match experience for us, playing with a more experienced and physical team. Several learning lessons which would be valuable to our team. Looking on the bright side, congrats to Jage who scored his first goal for Maoists as well as Izzuan's 9th goal of the season.

Interview with Maoists Number 12! TY!

In our latest interviews, we managed to grab hold on our one of the new signings of the team, TY! The number 12 in the team shared his views of his adaption and playing style with Maoists and also a little history of him. He has finally scored his first goal for Maoists last weekend but this interview was conducted before it. Let's see what TY gotta say!

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, TY. Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

Well, I’m turning 20 this year. I started playing soccer in primary 4 because I saw Nwanko Kanu play in an Arsenal match on Premier Twelve. After which fell totally immersed in soccer. I used to play soccer almost everyday, but it's reduced to twice a week for now, u know when age strikes, fatigue does too. Lol!

Being one of the players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

Still rather new to Maoists I would say, and I haven't scored a damn goal. (Yes, you did! With a header!) Well thanks to Louis for pulling me into the squad. Got to know him while playing in school together and slowly I made my entry into the team, I am also lazy so thanks to the peeps that covered my ass during matches. I heard many histories about Maoists FC, and honestly we are a bunch of energetic lads.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

Hmmm, I may not have much say in this, but ever since I joined, I feel we have made some improvements at the back and front as well. And Syazwan is like guardian of the posts, best keeper I have come across so far.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

In my secondary school days, I played Centre Mid, Left Wing and Goalkeeper. My goalkeeping skills sucked and that’s why I left that position. Now I mostly play left back and left wing for Maoists, and I'm rather comfortable with the positions. Position I would like to try? Gotta sound weird but: CENTREBACK LOL.

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

Definitely the match against the rebels! No denying that, we fought hard and got what we deserved, it was a clear penalty if I was to judge I saw that fellow’s elbow came up. Lowest times? NONE, optimistic as ever, even if we lose by large margins, we will win them back one day.

Captain's Comments
As Captain's reflecting the game last evening, he really wondered whether Maoists was too below-par or QVFC was way too good for us to handle. A match which Captain has predicted and expected before the game.

Pre-match preparations were not the best while some of the players did not confirm their attendance which left Captain a headache as his original plan could not be executed. He had no other choice but to call up the injured Sho to play for another game as there were insufficient defenders with ZhenWei, Zul and Nizam all unavailable.

Still, we have to make sure of what we had and still played. As expected, QVFC would be holding most of the possession, switching balls from left to right. Unfortunately, we conceded an early penalty by a handball which gave Indra the yellow card. From then on, defence just couldn't hold on and we conceded another goal. 2-0.

ZhiJun and Khairul came in and their presence made a difference in our attacks. ZhiJun beautiful cross was well met by TY's head at the left hand side who has finally break his duck for Maoists! Well Done TY! :)

At 2-1, it gave the team some hope and belief that Maoists may have something to prove in the game. Just when Captain was thinking of holding on till half time, we conceded another 2 goals due to some defensive mistakes. 4-1 at half time.

2nd half began and with a 3-4-3 formation, we started to attack more. Playing with such a formation is always risky as there will be more space and gaps behind defence. Credits to Maoists, we did not let our heads down despite being 4-1 down. We still fought every single ball.

Thumbs up for QVFC, they have quality all around the pitch. They went on scoring 3 more while we guys still managed get 2 back to reduce the deficit. Even though we have a 7-3 defeat at the end of the day, Captain was still proud of the team's efforts and TY's performance was commendable. A goal and 2 assists and he was our Man of the Match.

It was a tough and disappointing result to swallow but a good learning experience for the whole team. QVFC is a very good team and we should look up to them and aim to reach that level in the near future.

Interview With Maoists Number 5! Khairul!

Finally, we managed to interview one of the longest serving players in Maoists, Khairul! The Xabi Alonso of the team who is able to do almost everything on the pitch and would always suggest to go to eat Popeye at Changi Airport right after every match. In this exclusive interview with him, Khairul was rather reserved but still gave his thoughts and views pretty well.

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, Khairul . Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

Being one of the senior players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

I didn’t get to know about Maoists until YanZhi brought me into the team. From there, I got to know the senior members of the team and I feel that there’s sense of chemistry amongst us.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

I feel that Maoists is doing extremely well in terms of their commitment. This is one of the reasons as to why Maoists are staying strong even till now. Based on development wise, I’m delighted that we improved a lot as a team player and also as an individual.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

CB, RB, LB, CM, DM, RM, LM, CAM, ST. Striker. (Just take a look at the positions he played before!)

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

The first match of the season against Schwarhz Star. I feel that we put in an excellent display of performance. The lowest times would be during training. I feel that the commitment of players to attendance of training is extremely bad. They come as they please. (Someone finally understood how the Captain feels.)

Injury Blow

Our number 4 right back, Sho Ong has been ruled out for a month after suffering a knee injury. He has been playing through the pain over the weeks and the doctor has strongly recommended him to take a rest so not as to further injure his knee.

It's a massive blow to the team as every single player is essential for every match in our fight up the table. Nevertheless, all of us would wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully, in less than a month's time, he would be back overlapping on the right hand side of the field.

Take a look at this. This is an email from Eugene, EFL Chief Organiser.

Morning Gentlemen

On Sunday 3rd May at Deyi Secondary School, a most unfortunate accident happened.

During the final moments of the match, Sofeene's player/coach injured his forehead and was unconcious till today. Initial examinations showed that he has a dent in his skull the size of a fifty cent coin. Fortunately, the examination also indicates that the dent is not as deep as feared so there is much hope of recovery. Sofeene's coach is in the police force. He is undergoing his Inspector's course and is due to graduate on 7th May, but now, we are not sure of that happening. Our prayers and best wishes are with his family and him.

All those who like to wish him well, you can email me and I will forward it to his family.

It really hurts me everytime I have to go to the hospital and see players' parents, wives, children and siblings crying. I understand and respect everyone's pride, enthusiasm and passion but please do heed our calls for safety first.

Maoists, please do be careful when you guys are out there on the pitch as safety comes first. Would not like to see players getting hurt in any way and we will be all safe and sound after every game.

Captain Comments
One of the most important matches so far this season as Rebels' position is near to us in the league, with just one point above us. A win would bring us further up in the table and hence, we can build it on from there.

Once again, like previous matches, attendance of matches is superb. Like what Sathya tagged at Facebook, our squad depth is 20/20. Yesterday match got the Captain much into a headache as he had 21 players for the day. Nevertheless, it was a very good problem for him as squad depth and fresh legs were essential for the team, especially, under such a hot weather.

One of the problems playing in these matches is due to the lack of information of opponents. It would be a challenge for the Captain to devise the right tactics and formation without knowing much of the opponents. Hence, for last afternoon's game, we started with a 5-4-1 formation. Soak and counter attack was the strategy. Captain was hoping that we could sneak a goal or two in the first 45 minutes, so that it would be easier for Maoists in the second half.

Of course, plans would always not be the way you want it to be. It was goalless at half-time. Not a bad score at the end of 45 minutes, hence, formation has to be changed. 4-1-3-2. We had to attack the opponents more to at least score a goal first. In every game, when we attack, we tend to leave some space in defence, and this time, we conceded early in the second half just outside our penalty area.

Captain could see some disappointed yet determined faces despite going 1 goal down. The fighting spirit of Maoists has always been there and we fought and pressed hard for every ball. Fresh legs coming in, you could see Rebels were tiring more later in the game. Credits to Rebels, their defence stood strong on several occasions.

Time were running out, and we finally got our rewards late late in the game. April's Player of the Month Izzuan was pushed onto the ground by Rebels defender and the ref had no choice but to point at the spot. Up step Izzuan, converted the penalty confidently while the Rebels were still upset with the ref's decision.

We almost conceded a second goal just after we have equalised. Rebels winger broke through Maoists defence and was on its way to the goal whose shot was well saved by our Guardian at the post, Syazwan! It was a fantastic and crucial save. I guess Maoists' hearts were at their mouths when the ball almost went into the net. Great save Wan!

It was a hard-earned draw and still, a good result for us. A point is always better than none, we shall look forward to the next game whereby we will continue fighting up the table.

Interview with Maoists Number 19! Syazwan!

Up next in our exclusive interviews, it's a honor to have with us, Maoists Number 19, Syazwan! The number 1 player in goal over the years, whose idol is Real Madrid's Iker Casilas, shares his experiences playing for Maoists FC over the years. Without further ado, let's take a look at what the goalkeeper has to say!

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, S Syazwan (Name). Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

S Syazwan is the name. People call me Wan. 18 this year in Republic Poly. Soccer is my life.
When it comes to soccer, I’ll put my life on it. Iker Casillas is my idol and Arsenal is my favourite team. Single and available. I can be whatever. You decide how I treat you.

Being one of the senior players of Maoists FC, you can share with us how Maoists came into your life?

I was secondary 2 in 2004. I played soccer for Interhouse competition. That was when Khairul introduced me to Louis I guess and I was approached by several Maoists players to join the team. It was such an honor to play for one of the best team in ADSS.
However, there were certain other teams which were interested in me joining them but Maoists will still be the team I will play for.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

The team overall progress was great. With new players young and talented joining, they will be great additions to the team. Even though losses hit us hard, I’ll bet that we will be stronger in the future. From secondary school level, we have placed ourselves in the open category. With us joining the EFL, it would be a great opportunity to improve and gain experience.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

Goalkeeper and Striker. I would like to try out as a Defender in Maoists. Surprising but that is what I love to try in the near future.

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

My proudest moment as a Maoists player was when we won the ADSS cup in 2005. It was an outstanding win by us with 7-3 win over our rivals in the school. However my lowest times struck whenever I wasn’t in my best performance. Let’s just say it was my off-form.

Captain's Comments
After a very long time, we had such a hot sun above us for our 8th league game as well as the important 3-0 win today. 3 goals and 3 essential points for Maoists FC. Oh yes, a clean sheet too!

Like the previous game, attendance was promising and that was the key to today's win over at Canberra Secondary. Due to the warm weather, it was a plus point for us to have many fresh legs on our bench, keeping the players fit and allowing them to have water breaks in between. It's always good for the team to have more options and more players in every position as competition would motivate the players to improve and strive harder.

The Captain wanted to start the game with 5 defenders at the back, however, due to some players being late, he had to change things around with a 4-1-3-2 formation. We started the game pretty okay and as the game commences, the team started to gel and creating chances. Our rewards came when Khairul's stunning shot just outside the area lopped the opposition goalkeeper. What a shot! 1-0.

We got our second goal soon after from a corner. A typical YanZhi's header and he was delighted with his goal. 2 goals was a fantastic result to hold on to half time and hence, the Captain decided to put in some fresh legs to protect our lead and at the same time, going for our 3rd goal.

Second half was quite an open game because Newton Health would have to attack at us. Fortunately, we had some luck when their freekick went against our crossbar. If that would have gone in, the whole complex of the game would definitely change.

We got our 3rd goal eventually, which somehow killed off any hopes of a comeback. A through ball by Jage was nicely controlled by Subash, who did not make any mistakes lobbing over the goalkeeper. Brilliant finish!

We had more chances in the last 20 minutes of the game while Newton Health was down to 10 men. Despite missing some clear cut chances, what matters was the 3 points which Maoists needed and we've achieved that on the day.

We got to keep it going, keep working hard on the pitch and hopefully, higher on the table. Well done Maoists!

Interview with Maoists Number 6! Marcus!

The first ever interview started off with our very own Maoists number 6, Marcus Tan. Being one of the long service players of the team, he shared his experiences with the team over the years as well as his choices of the different personalities in the team. Without further ado, let's take a look at the pleasant session shared.

First of all, thanks for accepting my invitation for the interview. It’s my pleasure to be able to interview you, Marcus. Let’s begin with an introduction of you.

Marcus is my name, 20 this year, waiting to serve the country right now. Music is my passion, Soccer is my interest. Loyal fan of both Manchester United and Netherlands. Still single and available. Overall, I’m a nice person. :)

Being one of the senior players of Maoists FC, can you share with us how Maoists came into your life?

It came about during the early stages of secondary school where a group of us who share the same interest and decided to form a soccer team. Ever since the start up of the team, we’ve been playing soccer on a regular basis. I guess if it wasn’t for this team, our secondary life would be mundane. Reminiscing the numerous times we got into trouble because of soccer, those good old days will always be remembered.

Maoists have been around for several years, what is your opinion of the team’s overall progress and development over the years?

I guess the team has progress quite a lot ever since it was first established. We started off with only 7 players, and right now we have a team of about 20 people. It is pretty much a huge step towards becoming a big team although commitment has always been a problem amongst the players. Also, we have shifted from playing recreational soccer to competitive soccer, such as joining tournaments and league, providing good experiences for all the players.

What positions have you played before? What about now? Any positions you would love to play in the near future?

I’ve played before Centre back and am playing as a defensive midfielder right now. I know that my strength is mainly defensively, but I would love to give a go as an attacker, a striker perhaps?

What and when was your proudest moment as a Maoists player? What about the lowest times?

I guess on occasions when I scored during matches, certainly I felt great about it. Specifically for the match against Nipon, I felt proud for myself as well as the team although we lost the match but it was one of the best performances we’ve displayed over the years. Lowest times, I guess on matches when I’m really not playing to my best and responsible for conceding certain goals.

Captain's Comments
The heavy rain in the early minutes of the game did not dampen our moods as Maoists fought hard against the current leaders Happy Feet. Fortunately, we were able to play the game after seeing so many dark clouds hanging over our pitch.

As Captain is reporting "sick", he was able to manage and watch the team from the sidelines. Much to his pleasant surprise, we got 19 players for the match which was quite an incredible attendance. Maoists started the game in a 5-3-1-1 formation. The reason was because of the fact that the captain wanted to hold onto a draw in the first half.

At half time, it was 1-1.

With 8 substitutes on that day, Captain had to make sure everyone got to play enough and at the same time, playing a formation to win the game. 4-4-2 in the second half and there's when all the goals came flying in. Despite going 3-1 down, Maoists never gave up and we went on pressing hard during the game.

Credits to the team, everyone worked really hard and passed the ball well. The never-say-die spirit was clearly on our side, forcing Happy Feet to the wire. Congrats to Izzuan who scored a terrific hat-trick.

It was close, unfortunately, the result did not go our way. There are still quite a number of games to play and with this kind of spirit and attitude, I'm sure the team would be earning the points which we deserve.

Captain's Comments
After so many weeks of rain, we finally gotta to play our league game last evening. Despite the rain, we manged to play the full game but unfortunately, the result did not go our way. With such a good pitch to play, it's a pity that we didn't get our 3 points which we needed.

Credits to Team Orange, they played really well and were organised in every areas of the pitch. However, that cannot be an excuse for our poor performance. We didn't pass the ball well, failed to get first balls as well as the second. Losing possession easily was our main problem in this game.

The positive factor was that we did improve in the second half. Despite 3-0 down, we didn't give up and we kept on fighting. Being captain, I'm really glad to see the team still chasing down every ball, and worked really hard. That's the spirit we should maintain. It's a pity that Izzuan's freekick hit the bar in the opening minutes. If that would have gone in, the whole complex of the game would definitely change.

Nevertheless, we gotta keep it going, keep working hard, and I'm sure our efforts would pay dividends. Heads up, Maoists!

Captain's Comments
I guess we were taught a footballing lesson last Sunday. One of the worst losses this year, or I should say it's the worst defeat we have suffered. Nevertheless, against the leading team in Division 1, it was a good experience and exposure for Maoists to play against the best.

Looking on the bright side, we did manage to score 3 though we conceded 11. I can understand it's hard to stay focus and concentrate after conceding goals, however, I do feel it's important for the team to stay united no matter what the score is. Be it we are winning 5-0 or losing 4-1, we have to stick together and continue to play the football we are good at. What I saw last match was individuals, not team.

Maoists play as a team, win as a team and lose as a team.

As Captain, I know I'm responsible in making decisions and I'm aware that sometimes my decisions aren't the best around. Feel free to give me feedback or your opinions which will help the team, I will be more than happy to listen and apply accordingly. I'm trying my very best to bring Maoists to the next level, and I do think we are heading the right direction with you guys around. :)

Let's look forward to the next game and kick some asses. Come on Maoists!

Okay, as always, I will have to start everything myself and let the ball rolling. (I hope!) As requested, I've created this simple blog for all to update and keep in touch with one another. All sorts of stuff can be posted up here, I don't care. It's up to everyone. You guys can give suggestions or comment at the tagboard!

This blog got a good birthday, created on Christmas day! Remember it guys!

League will be starting in the new year. The date tentatively is on 10 Jan 2009. Please, please be available for the matches. The matches will stretch over few months, we need players week in week out. I do hope all can do their part and produce results which we should always be.

On the side note, there are some great things to be share for everyone! It's the season of sharing!
